We hope you can join us for the 1st Annual Jill E. Mattice Memorial “HOPE” Run. This 5K Run will be held rain or shine Sunday May 16, 2010 and is being held in honor of our close friend, Jill E. Mattice, who died in a motor vehicle accident while on duty on January 20, 2010. Jill was returning back to the Oneonta State Police barracks from her duties as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Unadilla Valley Central School. Jill had been with the New York State Police in Oneonta for just over 6 years. This event is in honor of her and all of our fallen police officers throughout the United States.

Jill had many friends and she enjoyed spending a great deal of time with them. Her playful light hearted personality and caring spirit is evident in these photos. We are greatful that so many people captured their moments with her on camera.

All proceeds will go to benefit the Trooper Jill E. Mattice Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will benefit a graduating senior from Unadilla Valley Central School and/or Franklin Central School who displayed the characteristics possessed by Trooper Jill Mattice.
